This was a really productive weekend. In addition to !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , I also brought my father-in-law’s giant 36" glass tube TV to the recycling center, and managed to watch the enti re IndyCar race at Pocono, despite the 2-hour delay after Robert Wikens knocked down part of the catch fence (so glad to hear he’s alive!).
It spite of all this, I managed to install most of the rest of the cabinets in my kitchen. There’s one more small wall cabinet to install to the right of the window. Plus we decided to add a shallow spice cabinet to the right of the microwave/vent hood, so I need to build that now. There’s also one more detail to settle, and then we can get the counter tops measured. We’re likely getting granite for those.

Just throwing this out there, but don’t those countertop outlets need to be GFIs?

I’m sure he’s doing what i’m doing, just using cheap ones while working then you can swap them out later....You really only need the first outlet in a run to be GFCI then the rest can be normal....or you culd have GFCI brakers.

Looks good, I love my granite but if I get to pick on the next house I would seriously consider on the the synthetics.

I like quartz, but synthetic materials tend to go out of style. Natural products tend to retain their appeal long term.

They will be. These are 58 cent cheapos, until paint and tile are done. Then I’ll swap in the nice expensive decora GFI’s.

yeah doing the same...any luck my counter tops will be on next week then I can figure out tile....been working on it since June.

Nice! We just decided to add an extra little piece, that'll change the counter size, so I need to make that asap.
